Another WoJ sneak peak

Here´s another sneak peak from the WoJ Get Well collection, this one is also designed by Norma Fickel. I tried a different kind of colouring technique than what I usually use...colouring only as little as possible and didn´t use my blender pen at all. I like the end result really much.

Whiff of Joy Get well stamp sneak peak

Hey...! Tomorrow is the launch day of some cute Get well stamps at Whiff of Joy, don´t miss it. All three of the illustrators contributed to the collection.

Here´s one drawn by talented Norma Fickel, I just love this clown. I have to admit I wasn´t really pleased with my image after I had coloured it, but that was just because of the colours I had chosen...but everything kind of fell together perfectly when I found that striped and glittery background paper. The paper is from MME and the 12x12 Penny Lane glitter stack really is huge, don´t know why I haven´t dared to cut into it before. I have a habit of buying gorgeous new papers and saving them for...don´t really know what. It´s a bit silly really, if I used all my papers that would just be a good excuse to buy more...right eh´.

Ok, so the release day of the collection is May 1st, that´s tomorrow! So not much longer ´till you can order yours.

Stamp Something DT card...sketch something

Hi all! It´s friday and we have a wonderful weekend ahead of us. It´s also time to Stamp Something again and this week we have a lovely sketch to follow.

For my card I used a gorgeous image from Karen´s Doodles. This cutie is simply called Butterfly Girl. I have coloured my image with Promarkers as always. The papers are from MME´s Wild Asparagus paper pad. I loved the sketch but in a hurry forgot one element (Oopsie! wasn´t supposed to tell). As embellishment I added one button and some lace and half pearls. I´m quite pleased with how my card turned out in the end.

So that was all for my card. Our sponsor is fabulous Simon Says so go take a look at the sketch and start making your own card. Have a nice weekend!

Poor Henry...!

Henry has had a bit of an accident... well no worries he´s soon back on his feet. This stamp is one of 10 new Whiff of Joy stamps released on May 1st. All three illustrators (Alison Acton, Elisabeth Bell and Norma Fickel) have contributed to the new Get Well collection. The stamps are to die for... and most certainly will heal just about anything or at least brighten the day of those needing some TLC.

So this is Henry with his broken leg... I coloured him up with Promarkers. The papers are from MME´s Bloom&Grow paper pad. The button, linen string, pearls and all the layers make my card a bit 3D so it fits kind of perfectly the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Keep on stalking my blog and you´ll see some more images from the soon to be released Get Well collection. And don´t forget to go look what all the other designers and guest designers have come up with (links can be found here).

Thanks for looking!

Stamp with Fun #56 DT card

Hello and happy monday! Here we are again with a new Stamp with Fun challenge. This week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow, so do go check it out.

I was feeling a bit romantic as I was making my card. I masked together Cool Oakley and Willow dressing up from WoJ´s City girl release, they go well together don´t they. I think this card would be perfect as an engagement or wedding card... or just for any other occasion that you might need a card for a couple.

I have coloured my image with Promarkers as I usually do. I added flowers and a sparkling butterfly as embellishment, the leaves are cut with a Woodware punch and the border on the striped paper is done with a MS border punch. The papers are from a Papermania paper pad I bought a while back.

Ok, now I´m back to my crafting table. I got some new stamps in the post so my I´m eager to start playing with them. Have fun stamping!

Stamp Something DT card...charmed somethings

Hi all! Happy friday! It´s time to Stamp Something again. This weeks theme is charmed somethings, so get your charms ready, they can be shop-bought or something you made yourself, it´s your choice.

I made my card using four stamps from Whiff of Joy´s April stamp kit (genie, Oakley, palace and the sentiment of course). I masked the images together and coloured them with Promarkers. The background paper is from Basic Grey and as my charm I used a heart shaped one. The whole setting is charming really, don´t you think.

Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe´s and of course the prize is fabulous as always. So do start crafting and charm us away with your creations! Have a great weekend!

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #7...Confirmation card

Here we are again with a new Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we´d like to see some confirmation cards.

Karen has specially designed a set of 5 images (3 girls and 2 boys) for your confirmation cards. I used the short haired girl for my card and coloured the image with Promarkers. I kept the layout of the card simple and added just some half pearls, one flower and a fitting sentiment to finish off my creation.

Now it´s your turn to show your confirmation creations, just use a Karen´s Doodles image and you are set to go! Have fun crafting!

Stamp with Fun #55 DT card...Hey giraffe!

Happy monday! Let´s have fun stamping as it´s time for another Stamp with Fun challenge. This weeks theme is animals, so just make a card that has a cute animal in it.

I made a simple card again with a Meljen´s Design giraffe, perfect for a little child. i coloured my image with Promarkers as usual and stamped a sentiment (modified it a bit) from Whiff of Joy. The papers are from MME´s Bloom&Grow paper pad and the border is done with a MS punch.

Have fun stamping!

Stamp Something DT card...something layered

Happy friday! It´s time to Stamp Something. This weeks theme is layers, you can layer on lots of embellishments, or use lots of layers of paper, or layer images together using various masking or digital layering techniques. Just have fun stamping something layered!

Our sponsor is Karen´s Doodles and the winner of this challenge will receive 3 digital stamps/images from Karen's Doodles!

Now on to my card... I used Basket of Bunnies as my image and coloured it with Promarkers. The poapers are from MME´s Bloo&Grow paper pad. I layered up green and yellow cardstock paper to line the image and the background paper. I went for a simple layered look and used only some selfadhesive rhinestones as embellishment. I also raised the image up a bit with 3D pads.

Ok, now it´s your turn to stamp something, have a great weekend!

Stamp with Fun #54 DT card...believe in the magic

Hello stamping world and happy monday! It´s time to Stamp with Fun again. It´s sketch time this week. I sure had much fun with the sketch and I know you will too. So go check it out.

I used two, three if you count the sentiment, gorgeous stamps from Whiff of Joy in my card (all from the new April stamp kit), one as the main image and one in the background. The main image is a luxurious palace that I coloured with Promarkers and for the background I used the flower image in the set. I masked the palace and stamped the flowers twice and embossed with UTEE...then I placed the palace image again in right position and started to sponge some distress ink to the image. It would be better to use a fine grained embossing powder with this technique (at least to get the details to show a bit better) but UTEE was all I had at hand. Throw in some distressing, flowers and papers from Basic Grey and you have a card!

Get crafting...see you later!

Stamp Something DT card...Stitch something

Happy friday! It´s time to Stamp Something. This week we´d like to see some stitches, so get your sewing machines, needles or just plain pencils ready.

This weeks sponsor is Paper Jewels, they carry Sweet Pea stamps among other things, which leads me straight to my image choice. I used a fabulous mermaid image and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from MME´s Wild Asparagus paper pad. I also covered the image with UTEE and used only one layer as I thought the uneven look better resembled water. And the stitching part... I used fake ones as I didn´t want to mess up my sewing machine.

Ok so now it´s your turn, get stamping and stitching.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #5 DT card

Hey, it´s wednesday allready! Can´t believe it´s our 5th challenge at Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge blog. Time flies really fast as you are having so much fun. But let´s get to this weeks challenge... this week we´d like to see some colour. Red, yellow and white to be exact.

I wanted to make something different for a change (all the cards I´ve made with KD images have been cute little things) and went searching for an image...and this is what I found, it´s called Crafting Widower and it´s just so funny with the name and all. I found some funky bright Basic Grey papers to go with my image that I had coloured with PM´s. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and layoutwise the card is really simple.

Now it´s your turn to make something with red, yellow and white, doesn´t need to be as bright as my card, you could use pasteals just as well. You know the drill, just use a Karen´s Doodles image in you creation and your good to go.

See you later alligator!

Simon Says...It´s so distressing

Oh I almost forgot... this cutie´s for the Simon Says challenge It´s so Distressing and for Passion for Promarkers "The young ones". The image is Princess Pony, a Karen´s Doodles image and I have coloured it with Promarkers (of course). Added some ribbon, lace and flowers and a dp for the background from Basic Grey.

Now I´m off to bed, see you later.

Sugar Bowl #32

Here´s a card I made for the Sugar Bowl. This time round you got to choose which Sugar Bowl sketch you used...and I chose a simple sketch from their 15th challenge as I wanted to make a card for a boy.

Here´s the sketch, easy peasy don´t you think.

I used one of the boy images (digistamps) designed by Diane Duda and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from MME´s Bloom&Grow paper pad. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

Whiff of Joy GDT card...1001 Nights with Oakley

Ok here´s the card I promised yesterday. It has two separate stamps masked together and a sentiment from Whiff of Joy´s April Stamp Kit - Scheherazade (1001 Nights). I used the same colourcombo as in the bellydancer card and also a dp from the same Basic grey Amrosia paper pad. And as always I coloured the image with Promarkers, not much surprise there. I like this card alot, don´t really know why... Oakley sure is hansom in his 1001 Nights themed attire. This card fits the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar which is "one for the boys" this week.

See you later people!

Whiff of Joy GDT card...1001 nights

Isn´t this stamp just gorgeous! Whiff of Joy´s new April Stamp Kit - Scheherazade (1001 Nights) is now ready for preorder...you should hop on over to the shop to order your kit. I got mine as my first GD package and boy the stamps sure are gorgeous. And there are some perfectly fitting sentiment also.

I tried again this orange-blue colour combo and I think it works well. I coloured my image with Promarkers and raided my paper stash for some fitting papers. It´s a good thing I had saved a few Basic Grey Amrosia papers, otherwise I wouldn´t have had anything to go with my brightly coloured image. I think I might need to start choosing the papers first so I wouldn´t have such a problem with the papers. I cut the borders with a MS border punch and added some flowers to embellish my creation. I didn´t think the card needed much embellishing as the image and the dp combined with the sentiment were so powerful. I almost even left the flowers out.

I guess that´s all for now, I´ll show you a card with Oakley tomorrow. See you later!

Stamp with Fun #53 DT card

Happy monday! In the midst of all the easter eggs and chocolate it´s time for a new Stamp with Fun challenge. This week it´s recipe time: 3 papers, 3 flowers and 2 button.

I used a WoJ image from the Blooming Spring store stamp kit. I coloured the image with Promarkers and used up some old Basic Grey papers I found from my stash. The flowers were coloured with PM´s to match the colour scheme of the rest of the card.

I´m off now to raid my chocolate stash, no easter eggs though but chocolate nevertheless. Happy crafting!

Stamp Something DT project...my pink recipe book

So it´s friday again. And time for a Stamp Something challenge. This week we want to see something pink, so get those pink glasses out and start seeing pink.

Our psonsor this week is The Stamping Boutique and us SS DT members got to play with some TSB images. I chose a different route than one might expect with this theme and made a simple recipe book. I actually needed one so as soon as I saw this Farm pantry self image I knew what I was going to do. And I also got to try out my new Bind-it-All machine. I wanted the book to look like something I might have had when I was about thirteen or so. I think I managed that quite well if I say so. I used glitter and UTEE and cracked glass technique, lots of everything really on the image and the rest of it is really simple.

Ok that was it, now it´s your turn to make something pink. Happy weekend people!
