Sketch and Stash Challenge #22

I´m in a hurry again, it seems I don´t have any time ever left for a well done post. Well maybe the cards do the talking...

This one´s for the Sketch and Stash challenge. I finally got to use my new Ladybug and Friends stamp (by Elisabeth Bell). I´m not happy with the colouring though, the image looks smudgy and dull (I actually coloured the image in the dark which might contribute to the mess). The papers are from K&Company.

Tämä kortti menee Sketch and Stash haasteeseen. Sain vihdoin käytettyä uutta Elisabeth Bellin  Ladybug and Friendsille piirtämää leimasintani. Väritykseen en tosin ole kovin tyytyväinen, mitäpä piti väritellä kuva pimeässä...ei olisi valojen sytyttäminen kovin paljoa sähköä kuluttanut. Paperit on K&Companylta.

The Sugar Bowl #22

Surprise!...LOL

As I promised in that last post this one´s totally different and far from Christmas. This goes to the Sugar Bowl where you had to follow Kathy´s fab sketch and the please include option was lace. There is a hint of Halloween theme in this card even though we don´t really celebrate Halloween here in Finland (atleast not to that extent that they do in the US). I was compelled to buying this gorgeous Basic Grey Eerie paper pad and I thought the papers would fit a far more extensive theme range than just Halloween. I think they are going to be perfect paired with some gloomy gorgeous Gorjuss girls.

Well I didn´t use a Gorjuss girl in this one as I had this Diane Duda image stamped and coloured already. I had coloured the image with Promarkers and I´m not that happy with how the card looks in picture, in real life the card´s much better.

Yllätys!...

Kuten lupasin tämä kortti on sitten pikkaisen erilainen kuin muut tämän päivän tekeleet. Tämä kortti menee Sugar Bowliin, jossa piti seurata Kathyn loistavaa luonnosta ja käyttää kortissa myös pitsiä. Kortistani tuli hieman Halloween teemainen, vaikkemme täällä sitä niin kovin juhlikaan, pientä peli-iltaa yritämme mahdollisesta saada aikaan. Ihastuin tuossa taannoin BG:n Eerie-lehtiöön (josta siis kortin dp:t) ja ajattelin että sen paperit sopivat monenlaisiin kortteihin. Varmasti menevät hyvin yksiin varsinkin Gorjus girlsien kanssa, varsinkin kun kuvat vielä värittelee sopivan tumman puhuvasti.

Tässä kortissa on kumminkin Diane Dudan leimakuva, sillä se odotti jo valmiiksi väritettynä. Lopputulos näyttää luonnossa jokseenkin paremmalta kuin tuossa kuvassa.

Siinäpä nuo tämän päivän kortit olivat, katsotaan nyt ehtisinkä vielä jotain tänään askarrella.

Passion for Promarkers #23

Now this fourth card goes to the Passion for Promarkers challenge. I actually made this card just for fun without thinking of any particular challenge, but as it fits the PfP theme "animals" I´ll enter it there. The image is from WoJ, the papers are from K&Company and the image was coloured with Promarkers. The next card, I promise, isn´t a Christmas, was not made with papers from K&Co nor has an image from WoJ in it. Intrigued yet?

Friday Sketchers #75

This third card goes to the challenge at Friday Sketchers. I stamped and coloured a cuter than ever Henry mouse with his lantern from Whiff of Joy for this card. The papers are from K&Company and I added some lace, ribbon and lots of flowers with rhinestone centers into the mix. So that was my third card.

CCT #83

Ok, now on to the next card. This one´s for the CCT challenge "Candy Corns!"... or anything sweet for that matter. I chose to make a simple christmas card with this cute image from Whiff of Joy. Just love those mice sitting on that huge candy cane. I coloured the image with Promarkers again and added only a background dp and some half pearls. That´s it, simple as ever.

No niin, mennään sitten seuraavaan korttiin , joka menee CCT:n haasteeseen. Teemana oli "Candy Corns!", mutta mikä tahansa makeinen kelpasi, eikä kortin tarvinnut olla Halloween kortti. Tein sitten yksinkertaisen joulukortin käyttäen WoJ:n ihanaa hiirulaispariskuntaa. Värittelin kuvan Promarkereilla ja lisäsin vain taustaksi dp:n ja tarrahelmiä koristeeksi. Siinäpä tuo päivän toinen kortti.  

Allsorts challenge #24

I´m keeping my promises and I have many cards to post today, hence the quick posts. This first card´s for the Allsorts challenge where the theme was "furrry friends". I still have a few K&Company papers left so the background is a piece of one of them. I have coloured the gorgeous WoJ image (by Alison Acton) with my Promarkers and added only a sentiment and some half pearls as decoration.

That´s all for now since I have some other business to take care of before I can start crafting again...come wednesday I´ll have a few cards to show you, I promise.

Olen niin innoissani, että on pakko hehkuttaa uutta DT pestiäni nyt heti. Niin, pääsin siis Stamp with Funin design tiimiin. Melkeinpä ratkean liitoksistani onnesta (näin synkässä ja sateisessa syyssäässä on ilot pakko repiä sieltä mistä vain saa). Eipä tässä tällä kertaa nyt sitten muuta, kortit saa vielä hetken odottaa, kun on muuta puuhaa. Keskiviikkona lupaan saada ainakin pari korttia valmiiksi.

Friday Sketchers #74

Just a quick post... a card I made for the challenge at Friday Sketchers. Cuter than ever Henry Mouse with Christmas bauble from Whiff of Joy is coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from K&Company. Where did the week go again?!

Ihan vaan nopea postaus... tein tämän kortin Friday Sketchersin haasteeseen. Henry hiiri joulupallonsa kanssa on Whiff of Joyn leimasimia ja värittelin tuon kuvan Promarkereilla. Paperit on edelleen K&Companylta. Mihin taas tämäkin viikko katosi?!

A Spoon Full of Sugar #74

I followed the monochrome theme in this card that I made for the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar, this time in shades of blue. I liked the sketch a lot and it is similar to the one at Friday Sketchers so I propably might get away with entering this one there, but I won´t since I already have a different card almost ready for that one. The lovely image is from Whiff of Joy (Oops! I just realized I used this same image in my card for the last ASFOS, LOL) as is the sentiment and I used my blue Promarkers for the colouring... and a tiny splash of purple and grey. The dp is from K&Company.

So that was four cards in total for today, maybe later I´ll try to make some more.

Jatkoin yksiväristä linjaa tässäkin A Spoon Full of Sugarin haasteeseen menevässä kortissa, mutta tällä kertaa sinisen sävyissä. Luonnos oli tosi kiva ja yksinkertainen, ja myös melkein sama kuin Friday Sketchersin haasteessa. Sitä haastetta varten minulla on jo toinen kortti melkein valmis joten mennään tällä vain yhteen haasteeseen. Ihana leimakuva on WoJ:lta (huomasin juuri että tuli käytettyä samaa leimakuvaa edellisessäkin ASFOS:n kortissa), kuten myös tekstikin ja kuvan värittämiseen käytin Promarkereita. Dp on K&Companylta.

Siinäpä tuo tämän päivän neljäs kortti, taidan myöhemmin ehkä askarrella vähän lisää.

Allsorts Challenge #23 and Stamp Something Challenge

For this card I went a lot out of my comfort zone and chose shades of green as this card goes to the Allsorts Challenge were you had to follow a sketch and a theme, the theme being "Monochrome Christmas". I rotated the sketch to better fit my image that I have coloured with Promarkers. The image and sentiment are both from Whiff of Joy and the papers are K&Company. I have also coloured the ribbon with Promarkers and added rhinestones for some bling, which means I can enter this also for the Stamp Something "Bling It Somethings" Challenge.

Tämän kortin kohdalla kokeilin jotain itsellen täysin vierasta ja tein kortin kokonaan vihreän sävyissä. Tämä kortti meneekin Allsorts Challengeen, jossa luonnoksen lisäksi oli teema "Yksivärinen Joulu". Käänsin luonnosta hieman, jotta valitsemani WoJ:n leimakuva olisi sopinut korttiin paremmin. Leimakuva on väritetty Promarkereilla ja paperit on K&Companylta. Väritin myös nauhan Promarkereilla ja lisäsin tarratimantteja, joten voin osallistua tällä kortilla myös Stamp Somethingin haasteeseen, jossa teemana oli Bling.

Again I´ll start the day off with two Christmas cards I made just for fun and because I´m trying to use up my K&Company papers. The images are from Whiff of Joy and I´ve coloured them with Promarkers.

The Sugar Bowl #21

I managed to make only 1 card during the weekend, this cute christmassy card for the Sugar Bowl. It has actually been a long time since I last used a Gorjuss girl in a card and this girlie in particular had never even been inked, so it was about time to make a card with one of Suzanne Woolcott´s images. I coloured the image with Promarkers and used K&Co papers to make the card. I embellished the card a bit with some charms, ribbon, lace and Kaiser rhinestones. The sentiment is from WoJ.

Onnistuin viikonlopun aikana tekemään vain tämän Sugar Bowliin menevän kortin. Leimakuva on Suzanne Woolcottin Gorjuss girl, joita en olekaan vähään aikaan käyttänyt korteissani ja tätäkin tyttöstä käytin nyt ekaa kertaa. Paperit on K&Companylta ja koristeeksi lisäsin vielä satiininauhaa, pitsiä, feikkitimantteja ja koristetähtiä (ovat oikeasti meritähtiä, mutta ei kai tuo niin kamalasti haittaa). Teksti on WoJ:lta.

A Spoon Full of Sugar #73

I´ll leave you with this last and sixth card for today as I should be getting ready to go to work (evening shift...not my favourite). But this card is, a favourite I mean, of todays cards, that´s why I left it last. The fabulous sketch was from A Spoon Full of Sugar and the gorgeous image and sentiment are from Whiff of Joy. This time I used watercolours and aquarelle pencils (and a bit of my Promarkers) for the colouring. Papers are still from K&Company, striped ribbon, satin ribbon (was white, but coloured it with Promarkers) and heart shaped pearls are all from my stash. By for now...maybe I´ll come back for some bloghopping when I get home after nine.

Tässä nyt sitten päivän kuudes ja viimeinen kortti, pitäisi jo kohta lähteä töihin (iltavuoro odottaa). Tämä kortti on itseasiassa lempparini näistä tämän päivän tekeleistä, siksi jätin sen postauksenkin viimeiseksi. Luonnos löytyi A Spoon Full of Sugarilta ja ihana leimakuva ja teksti ovat WoJ:lta. Tällä kertaa väritteli kuvan vesiväreillä ja akvarellikynillä, pikkaisen tuli käytettyä Promarkereitakin. Paperit ovat edelleen K&Companylta ja raidallinen nauha, satiininauha (oli valkoinen, mutta väritin sen Promarkereillani) ja sydämen muotoiset helmet löytyivät askartelutarvikekoristani. Heippa vaan...ehkä palaan koneelle vielä töiden jälkeen bogihyppelyn merkeissä.

Sketch and Stash Challenge #21

Wohoo... I´m in a roll. I made this fifth card for today for the Sketch and Stash challenge. I followed the simple yet gorgeous sketch and was in such a crafting mood I forgot one important thing, my new or neglected stash. After thinking hard I realized I haven´t been using my Kaiser rhinestones that much lately and that sweet birdie-ful image from Whiff of Joy is fairly new, I´ve made only one card with it before. I guess this card does fit the challenge, at least I came to that congclusion. I have coloured the image with Promarkers again and the papers are from K&Company. It´s proving to be a tougher job than I thought getting rid of my K&Company christmas papers.

Jippii... jo viides kortti tälle päivälle. Tämä menee Sketch and Stash haasteeseen, vaikkakin askarrellessani unohdin ottaa huomioon yhden tärkeän seikan. Tässähän haasteessa tulisi käyttää jotain uutta tai laiminlyötyä, tai vaikka molempia. Hetken pähkäiltyäni tulin siihen lopputulokseen, että kyllä tämä kortti sopii haasteeseen, enhän ole vähään aikaan käyttänyt Kaiserin feikkittimanttejani ja tuota ihanaa WoJ:n leimasintakin olen käyttänyt vain kerran. Kuva on jälleen kerran väritetty Promarkereilla ja paperit edelleen K&Companylta, kun eivät millään meinaa loppua.

I can´t really remember when I last took part in the Mojo Monday challenge so I thought it was just about time to give that challenge a go. The sketch was fairly simple which is something I liked a lot. The image is from Whiff of Joy, one of Alison Acton´s whimsical Henry Mouse´s. I used Promarkers to colour those cuties and some papers from K&Company to match the feeling of the image.

They both have Henry mouse in them from Whiff of Joy (isn´t he just the cutest LOL). The papers are from K&Company as is the sentiment stickers. I used Promarkers for the colouring.

Sketch Saturday #72

This final card for today goes to the Sketch Saturday challenge. I used an image from Whiff of Joy again (no surprise there) and coloured it with Promarkers. The sentiment is from WoJ aswell and the papers are from K&Company as in all my cards today. I left out the embellishments ment for the upper right corner at the last minute ´cause I thought they would have made my card a bit fussy. So a clean and simple card again, just the way I like them.

Stamp with Fun #28

I made this card for the challenge at Stamp with Fun. I rotated the sketch a bit to better fit my image. I used this cute Henry mouse stamp from Whiff of Joy and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from K&Company. As a finishing touch I added some sparkle to the card and went a bit mad with my ruler and black marker pen. That´s it, a fairly simple card again.

Käytin kortissa Whiff of Joyn ihanaista Henry hiirtä ja värittelin kuvan Promarkereilla. Paperit on jälleen K&Companyltä (päätin tuhota ensin nämä K&C:n paperit, vaikka pidän huomattavasti enemmän BG:n joulupapereistani). Lopuksi tuli hulluteltua viivoittimen ja mustan tussin kanssa ja lisättyä vielä pikkaisen kimallusta. Siinäpä tuo yksinkertaisuudessaan.

Colour Create #29: Cookies/cupcakes anyone?

I just had to try out Colour Create´s red-yellow-black-white colour combo and step out of my comfort zone a bit. The image was so gorgeous (Willow with cookies from WoJ) that I wanted to keep the rest of the card fairly simple. I just added a background paper from Basic Grey´s Ambrosia pad and some cupcake recipe´s I doodled on Wild Saffron die-cut cardstock from K&Company.

Colour Createn haasteena oli tällä kertaa käyttää seuraavanlaista väriyhdistelmää: punainen, keltainen, musta ja valkoinen. Ei ole ihan niitä jokapäiväisiä käyttämiäni väriyhdistelmiä, joten oli aivan pakko kokeilla mitä saisin aikaiseksi. Leimakuvaksi valitsin tämän aivan ihanan Willow with cookies leiman Whiff of Joylta, joka ei paljon koristeluita kaipaa. Lisäsin taustaksi dp:n Basic Greyltä ja kirjoitin pari cupcakereseptiä valmiiksi leikatuille K&Companyn Wild Saffron kartonkikuvioille.

And here is a close-up of the recipe tags pulled out. I stamped cupcakes onto the tags aswell. I would have written down some cookie recipe´s but I didn´t have any cookie stamps to go with them.

This card goes to the challenge at Passion for Promarkers, where you had to follow a recipe: 3 different shapes, 2 papers and 1 ribbon. I used one of my new Whiff of Joy stamps by Alison Acton, this cute and charming angel Henry. I added a charm so that I´ll be able to enter this also to the Cute Card Thursday challenge, where the theme was "So charming!". The papers are from Basic Grey and K&Company.

Just for fun: Santa Charlie

I got a bit tired of doing cards for challenges and trying to get more and more people to come visit my blog. But I didn´t get tired of crafting and found it relaxing just playing with my stamps and my Promarkers and making simple cards for christmas. This is one of those "just for fun" cards I started making. If someone decides to come visit my blog, then good and comment on my creations, even better, but I decided not to worry about my visitor count that much anymore. I was a bit silly to get stressed about that.

I just got my new Promarkers and some gorgeous stamps I ordered from WoJ and have been stamping and colouring images... and have had lots of fun trying out all those yummy new colours (bought all 56 of them LOL). I have about 20 images coloured and ready to be made into cards and another 20 or so stamped and waiting to be coloured. It may take a while before I have them turned into cards but at the moment I´m not that bothered about that... I´m waiting for my inspiration to return with a bang.

Aloin jo hiukan kyllästyä haastekorttien tekoon ja tuli liiaksi kytättyä kävijälaskuria... ja petyttyä kun ei taas kerran ollutkaan kukaan käynyt kommentoimassa tekeleitäni. Joo tiedän, kuulostaa varmaan aika typerältä. En kuitenkaan onneksi kyllästynyt leimailuun ja korttien tekoon. Nyt kortteja syntyy suurimmaksi osaksi ihan vaan omaksi iloksi ja huvin vuoksi, kuten tämäkin yksinkertainen joulukortti, vaikka olisihan se kiva jos joku tänne blogiini aina eksyisi ja jopa pitäisi korteistani. (Kiitos kaunis teille, jotka olette täällä monesti mieltäni ilahduttaneet kommenteillanne!)

Tuli ostettua Promarkereiden kaikki 56 uutta väriä ja posti toi myös ihanat Whiff of Joyn leimasimeni. Uusien kuvien leimaaminen ja niiden värittely on ollut todella hauskaa, valmiina on jo pari kymmentä kuvaa ja toinen samanmoinen odottaa vielä värittämistä. Niistä syntyy sitten kortteja pikku hiljaa inspiraation palatessa.

The Sugar Bowl #20

I made this card last night for the Sugar Bowl where you had to follow Gayle´s simple yet fabulous sketch. The please include option was paper piecing. I had somewhere (in a couple of different blogs to be exact, but can´t remember where) seen this cute Gorjuss girl done with paper piecing and the skirt raised a bit with lace and decided to try doing so myself. The papers are from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad and the rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers. A bit of sparkle was added to the wings.

Tein tämän kortin eilen illalla Sugar Bowlin haasteeseen. Kortissa piti tekniikkana käyttää paper piecingia. Olin parissakin eri blogissa nähnyt tuon samaisen Gorjuss girlin tehtynä paper piecingia käyttäen ja niin että helman alle oli lisätty myös pitsiä. Oli pakko kokeilla itsekin miten tuo onnistuisi. Paperit on BG:ltä ja kuva on väritelty Promarkereilla. Pikkaisen kimalletta tuli vielä lisättyä siipiin.

WoJ Challenge #50

I made this fun winter themed card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. The image is coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from Basic Grey´s new yummy Eskimo Kisses paper pad. I´m in such a hurry as I just got my Christmas Henrys from WoJ and I can´t wait to ink some of them up right away.

Tein tämän hauskan talviaiheisen kortin WoJ:n haasteeseen. Leimakuvan värittelin Promarkereilla ja paperit on BG:n Eskimo Kisses -lehtiöstä. Posti toi tänään vihdoin WoJ:n ihanaiset Henry hiiret ja sormia oikein syyhyttää päästä leikkimään niiden kanssa, siksi vain näin pikainen postaus.

Stamp Something... favourite layout or sketch

This card goes to Stamp Something challenge as it is done using one of my favourite sketches (SS#63). The image is a Diane Duda girl as in the previous card, this one is called Upside Down. Colouring was done with Promarkers and papers are from Basic grey. A bit of retro and surf feeling in this card if I may say so.

Tämä kortti menee Stamp Something haasteeseen, jossa piti käyttää lempi luonnostaan. Leimakuva on tässäkin kortissa Diane Dudan käsialaa ja se on väritetty promarkereilla. paperit myöskin samaisesta BG:n lehtiöstä kuin edellisessä kortissa. Tuli pikkaisen retro henkinen tästä kortista.

Simon Says...Colour combo: red and green

Found this card laying on my desk and thought I´d enter it into Simon Says challenge as they wanted to see cards done using red-green colour combo. The image is a Diane Duda creation called Follow Your Heart and I have coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from Basic Grey´s June Bug paper pad.
