Stamp with Fun #47 DT card

Happy monday people! It´s time to Stamp with Fun again. This week´s theme is stitching, so get your sewing machines and needles ready. We want too see stitches all over your crafting creations, whether you decide to go with real ones or do the doodling thing and use your marker pens.

My sewing machine doesn´t like me sewing paper so I decided to handsew my stitches instead. It would be a far too expensive to break a machine over a paper crafting project. I inked up a Suzanne Woolcott Gorjuss girl for a change and coloured the image with Promarkers. The design paper is from Basic Grey´s Wisteria paper pad. I did a lot of distressing again and added lots of embellishments... lace, button, pearls and flowers of course. The flowers beneath the button were white but I coloured them with Promarkers and added a bit of distress ink. I´m quite happy with my stithed up card.

The Sugar Bowl #24

I decided not to leave my entry for the Sugar Bowl to the last minute and have already made my card. I thought Marlene´s sketch looked like a lot of fun, that´s why I had to start crafting right away... and I have to say this card may have turned out to be my all time favourite (at least for the moment LOL).

I chose to use this cute Gorjuss girl drawn by Suzanne Woolcott because I had the image stamped waiting on my desk, but I don´t think I could have chosen a better image even if I had gone through all my Sugar Nellie stamps (and I do have a fare share of them...but not enough I might add). I coloured the image with Promarkers and distressed the edges with some inks.

The please include option was zig-zag and that´s why I cut the other side of the image to resemble a non uniform zig-zag and also used a piece of linen lace as an embellishment. The whole image portion of the card is actually raised up on foam pads, but you can´t really tell that from the picture.

I used some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers to go with the cute image and distressed all the edges with my scissors. A linen string wrapped around the card three times, self adhesive rhinestones and a sentiment finish of this heart warming card. Joy and peace to the world!

Ajattelin tällä kertaa olla ajoissa Sugar Bowlin korttini kanssa. Marlenen luonnos vaikutti niin kivalta, että oli alettava askarrella miltei välittömästi. Lopputuloksena oleva kortti taitaakin olla tämän hetkinen lempparini kaikista tekemistäni korteista.

Leimakuva on Suzanne Woolcottin Gorjuss girl, joka lojui pöydällä valmiiksi leimattuna. En tosin olis parempaa kuvaa voinut varmastikaan valita, vaikka olisinkin käynyt Sugar Nellien leimavarastoni läpi. Värittelin kuvan Promarkereilla ja vanhensin reunoja musteilla (ruskealla ja vihertävällä kullanhohtoisella musteella).

Lisäoptiona piti kortissa olla jotain siksakkuvioista, niinpä leikkasin leimakuvan toisen reunan siksakin muotoon ja lisäsin alle vielä palasen pellavapitsiä, jossa myös oli siksak reuna. Koko kuvan osuuden nostin 3d-tarrojan avulla koholle, mutta sitä ei kuvasta valitettavasti huomaa.

Paperit kortissa on Basic Greyn Eskimo Kisses lehtiöstä ja niiden reunat olen repinyt saksien avulla. Lisäksi koristeena on pellavanarua ja tarratimantteja. Siinäpä tuo kortti siis. Rauhaa ja iloa maailmaan!

The Sugar Bowl #21

I managed to make only 1 card during the weekend, this cute christmassy card for the Sugar Bowl. It has actually been a long time since I last used a Gorjuss girl in a card and this girlie in particular had never even been inked, so it was about time to make a card with one of Suzanne Woolcott´s images. I coloured the image with Promarkers and used K&Co papers to make the card. I embellished the card a bit with some charms, ribbon, lace and Kaiser rhinestones. The sentiment is from WoJ.

Onnistuin viikonlopun aikana tekemään vain tämän Sugar Bowliin menevän kortin. Leimakuva on Suzanne Woolcottin Gorjuss girl, joita en olekaan vähään aikaan käyttänyt korteissani ja tätäkin tyttöstä käytin nyt ekaa kertaa. Paperit on K&Companylta ja koristeeksi lisäsin vielä satiininauhaa, pitsiä, feikkitimantteja ja koristetähtiä (ovat oikeasti meritähtiä, mutta ei kai tuo niin kamalasti haittaa). Teksti on WoJ:lta.

The Sugar Bowl #20

I made this card last night for the Sugar Bowl where you had to follow Gayle´s simple yet fabulous sketch. The please include option was paper piecing. I had somewhere (in a couple of different blogs to be exact, but can´t remember where) seen this cute Gorjuss girl done with paper piecing and the skirt raised a bit with lace and decided to try doing so myself. The papers are from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad and the rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers. A bit of sparkle was added to the wings.

Tein tämän kortin eilen illalla Sugar Bowlin haasteeseen. Kortissa piti tekniikkana käyttää paper piecingia. Olin parissakin eri blogissa nähnyt tuon samaisen Gorjuss girlin tehtynä paper piecingia käyttäen ja niin että helman alle oli lisätty myös pitsiä. Oli pakko kokeilla itsekin miten tuo onnistuisi. Paperit on BG:ltä ja kuva on väritelty Promarkereilla. Pikkaisen kimalletta tuli vielä lisättyä siipiin.

The Sugar Bowl #18

Someone should hide my black marker pen! Somehow it´s impossible for me not to doodle on my cards and I almost ruined this card that I made for The Sugar Bowl. I liked working with Kathy´s sketch and the please include option being buttons ment that I could with good reason get rid of some of my old stash. I also wanted to use this cute Gorjuss girl I had had coloured for ages. The papers to match the colouring came from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad. I also added some Kaiser rhinestones, lace and a fake button from K&Company to top of the card.

Jonkun pitäisi piilottaa minulta kaikki mustat tussit! Melkeinpä pilasin taas tämänkin Sugar Bowliin tekemäni kortin töhertelyilläni. Kathyn luonnoksen mukaan oli kiva tehdä korttia ja sainpahan vähän pienennettyä nappivarastoani, sillä lisäoptiona pyydettiin käyttämään nappeja. Leimakuva on Suzanne Woolcottin Gorjuss girl, joka on ollut väritettynä jo vähän aikaa. Paperit löytyivät BG:n Two Scoops -lehtiöstä. Sitten vain vähän pitsinauhaa, Kaiserin feikkitimantteja ja iso tekstinappi K&Companyltä kruunaamaan koko komeutta.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge #14

I´ll just quickly post this card that I made in a hurry for the challenge at Passion for Promarkers. The theme was passion for purple this time as you may have noticed. I think I went a bit overboard with this one as I wasn´t really happy with what I had done and kept adding stuff trying to make the card look allright. I almost threw the card in the bin to tell you the truth.

Ihan vain pikaisesti postaan tämän Promarker haasteeseen menevän kortin. Väreinä olivat tällä kertaa lilac, lavender, amethyst ja aubergine. Kaikkia violetin sävyjä ei tarvinnut kuitenkaan käyttää, mikä olikin hyvä sillä minulla ei tuota auberginea olekaan. Korttiin en ole kovin tyytyväinen, meinasin jo melkein heittää sen menemään. Kortin teosta tuli jotenkin hassusti taas korjailuoperaatio, kun lisäilin juttuja yrittäessäni saada sen näyttämään edes jokseenkin ok:lta.

Yay... it´s my birthday and tomorrow is my first day of work in a week. I haven´t had much time for crafting this week, this card that goes to the challenge at Sketch Saturday is all I´ve managed to get done so far. Simon Says.... Anything BUT a card!

I came upon this challenge whilst bloghopping yesterday and decided to play along. Simon Says Stamp challenge had the theme of Anything BUT a card so I made this simple box with a cute Gorjus girl image I had coloured earlier. I´ll fill the box with some goodies later on... just the perfect gift for a friend. The box itself is made of some leftover wallpaper.

Eksyin eilen kivaan haasteblogiin, jossa pyydettiin tekemään mitä tahansa muuta kuin kortti. Oli ihan pakko osallistua, joten tein tällaisen simppelin lahjarasian vanhasta tapetin palasesta ja koristelin sen Gojuss girl leimakuvalla.

The Sugar Bowl #17

The weather´s really awful here today, it´s raining cats and dogs and it´s so grey and dark I had trouble taking this picture (usually my pictures turn out dull because it´s so late in the night). Well anyway this card was made for the Sugar Bowl. I liked working with Judy´s sketch and the please include option "handmade flowers" was just right for me. The image is a cute Gorjuss girl from set 3 and I have coloured it with Promarkers. Papers are from Basic Grey.

CCT #73 At the beach

This second card goes to the CCT challenge. I could have combined this with the Colour Create challenge as the theme was "At the beach". I don´t like combining challenges as I think a unique entry for each challenge is better and that way there´s more to see for my followers (as I have so many...not ;)

Passion for Promarkers #12

And finally a third card for today. This one´s for the challenge at Passion for Promarkers. The colours to be used were Cocoa and Rose Pink. I decided to keep the layout simple as the image was cute enough. So I just used a dp as a background and added some ribbon and a heart shaped brad.

Ja viimein päivän kolmas kortti. Tämä menee Passion for Promarkersin haasteeseen, jossa väreinä tällä kertaa olivat Cocoa ja Rose Pink. Ajattelin tehdä mahdollisimman yksinkertaisen kortin kun kerran kyse on "väritys" haasteesta. Niinpä lisäsin vain Basic Greyn dp:n taustaksi ja koristeeksi hiukkasen ruutunauhaa ja sydämen muotoisen koristeniitin kortin alakulmaan.

Passion for Promarkers #11

I made this card for the challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. The challenge was to do the card according to a sketch and you could use any Promarkers. This cutie had been waiting on my crafting table for a while now to be made in to a card, so I thought it was just about time to use it. The colours I have used are black, cool grey4, cocoa, spice, dusky pink and coral. Papers are from Basic Grey´s Ambrosia pad.

Tällä kertaa mukana oli luonnos, jonka mukaan kortti tuli tehdä ja leimakuvan värittämiseen sai käyttää mitä tahansa värejä (Promarkereita siis tottakai). Suzanne Woolcottin Gorjuss-tyttösen värittämiseen käytin seuraavia Promarkerien sävyjä: black, cool grey4, cocoa, spice, dusky pink ja coral. Paperit löytyivät BG:n Ambrosia-lehtiöstä.

Finally had some time to do a little bit crafting. This card´s for the challenge at Friday Sketchers. I loved the simple layout of the sketch. The image is a Gorjuss girl from set 3 (coloured with Promarkers and watercolours, Liquid Pearls on the wings) and the papers are from Basic Grey´s LilyKate pad.

Stamp with Fun #17

So my maternity leave has ended, last friday was my first day back at work. This means I no longer have much time to do any crafting. I promise I´ll try to get something done every week, maybe daily on some occasions (I´ll have my summer vacation in September), so please do pop by often.

But let´s get back to business... this card goes to the Stamp with Fun challenge. This time the theme was "pearls", which I didn´t exactly have and used liquid pearls instead. The image is a Gorjuss girl from the first set.

Äitiyslomani loppui ja viime perjantaina oli eka työpäivä. Ei oikein jää enää aikaa askarteluille, onneksi syyskuussa on kesäloma. On se kiva kun lomat kertyy "lomailemalla". Yritän kuitenkin saada jotain aikaiseksi joka viikko, joten mielellään voi täällä blogissani käydä kurkistelemassa ja vielä mieluummin jättämässä myös kommentteja.

Mutta kai se täytyy vihdoin mennä itse asiaan... siis tämä korttihan menee Stamp with Funin korttihaasteeseen, jossa tällä kertaa oli teemana "helmet". Minultahan ei tietenkään tällä hetkellä löytynyt varastoista helmiä, muuta onneksi keksin käyttää helmiäisliimaa (ei ole huijausta, eihän). Leimakuva on ihanainen Gorjuss girl ekasta setistä.

Stamp with Fun #15

Stamp with Fun had a theme of shapes and punches. So that´s what I did, punched away some flowers... a lot of them to be exact. The image is Suzanne Woolcott´s Gorjuss girl and I´ve coloured her with watercolours. Papers are from Basic Grey. I got the idea for the patchworked background from last weeks Jehkotar CardChallenge (#65).

Hahaa... I made it, almost two hours to deadline. This card is for Sketch Saturday´s challenge #59. Just a quick post, have an early morning tomorrow. The image is a Gorjuss girl and I have coloured her with Promarkers, papers are from basic Grey. The picture doesn´t do the card justice, at this time of night it´s impossible to take good photos.

Friday Sketchers #60... too late

This card was supposed to be for the challenge at Friday Skethers, but I missed the deadline by a day. The card was ready though, I just didn´t seem to find enough time to sit down and post it. The image is a Gorjuss girl as usual and I have mostly coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from Basic Grey. I also tried out some new embossing powders I got the other day. I used black and white Puffs (from Ranger) on the wings and teddy bear.

Jälleen kerran missasin yhden haasteen. Kortti oli toki ajoissa valmiina, mutta postaaminen sitten jäikin kun ei tuntunut millään löytyvän aikaa istua koneen ääreen.
