Stamp Something DT card...recipe somethings

Oh my it´s friday already! What better way to start the weekend than to play along with Stamp Something. We have a recipe to follow this time. We´d like to see dp´s, some ribbon and buttons on your cards.

I wanted to make something clean-cut this time, so no distressing really. My image is a Ladybug and Friends stamp, designed by Elisabeth Bell of course. I had had this stamp for a while now but never really got to using it. I used grey Versafine ink to stamp the image and for the colouring I used my Promarkers. The papers are from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad.

I guess that was all for now. I´ve done some shopping and have some new stamps waiting to be inked. I also got some new digistamps and have already printed them and they wait to be coloured. Too bad that the weekend is full of work and I don´t really have much time for crafting. I´ll need to steal some time where ever I can I guess, but you don´t have that problem do you guys...so go and start crafting, don´t miss the chance to win a fab prize from Simon Says. Happy weekend all!

The Sugar Bowl #29...something recycled, something new

Finally I managed to get some crafting done just for fun. I almost missed a second Sugar Bowl in a row... bad, bad me. I loved the sketch provided, thanks a lot Tiets. The please include option was in a form of a recipe and went like this "use 3 flowers, 2 brads and 1 button on your creation". I decided to match them all together and ended up with two flowers with a brad center and one with a button (not really all that clever, but one has to try LOL). I also had the great idea of using recycled materials on my card, so all the cardstock and the base the image is stamped on are materials from a tea box I just emptied this morning. I also cut out the weather section of the newspaper and used it as a material... but that´s where my creativity stopped and I had to go raid my dp stash. So the background is from K&Company and the other pieces are from Basic Grey.

The image is a Leanne Ellis stamp I had yet never even inked up. I used my Promarkers to colour the image but the base not being white sort of ate away all the colours. Well I´ll need to try this idea again someday hopefully with better luck. I´ll need to use a different ink and different colours ´cause I kind of liked the recycled material. I guess that was all for now, I´ll let you decide whether my attempt at dabling with recycled stuff was a succes or not.

Stamp with Fun #47 DT card

Happy monday people! It´s time to Stamp with Fun again. This week´s theme is stitching, so get your sewing machines and needles ready. We want too see stitches all over your crafting creations, whether you decide to go with real ones or do the doodling thing and use your marker pens.

My sewing machine doesn´t like me sewing paper so I decided to handsew my stitches instead. It would be a far too expensive to break a machine over a paper crafting project. I inked up a Suzanne Woolcott Gorjuss girl for a change and coloured the image with Promarkers. The design paper is from Basic Grey´s Wisteria paper pad. I did a lot of distressing again and added lots of embellishments... lace, button, pearls and flowers of course. The flowers beneath the button were white but I coloured them with Promarkers and added a bit of distress ink. I´m quite happy with my stithed up card.

Start stitching people!

Stamp Something DT card...Touch of Spring

Happy friday people! It´s time for a Stamp Something challenge again. This week our theme is Touch of Spring. I know, I know, it´s still quite cold outside but one can sure dream of warmer weather and flowers and butterflies...

Well let´s get back to business. Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy (YAY!) and in honour of our sponsor I used this cute little dove illustrated by Elisabeth Bell. I would have had lot´s of other WoJ stamps to choose from but I wanted to make a fairly simple card, so I went with my lovely dove. The gorgeous dp is from Basic Grey´s Wisteria paper pad. I did some distressing and added a sentiment and some flowers and that was it. I think my card would suit many different occasions and that was what I was aiming for.

Sending you all some spring time wishes...

Stamp with Fun #46 DT card

Happy monday! It´s time for a new Stamp with Fun challenge and this week we have a fab sketch to follow.

And now to my card:
I found this cute Norma Fickel gnome laying on my desk, it had been there waiting to be coloured since Christmas, but I think it suites every other occasion just aswell. I coloured the image with Promarkers and went for a pink colour scheme. The papers are from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad. I used lots of embellishments: brads, paper flowers, self adhesive pearls, heart charm, lace... I think I came up with a pretty cute card for that someone special.

I´ll let you start crafting now...see you later!

Stamp Something DT...Something cute

Oh it´s friday again...and what a friday it is. Firstly it´s the day of our new Stamp Something challenge which is to create something cute. The second and even better news is that today is the release day of some cuter than ever stamps. I´m talking about Wags ´n Whiskers if you hadn´t guessed allready.  They are our sponsor this week and our challenge is a part of their new release bloghop.

Wags ´n Whiskers has 8 beautiful Spring Time stamps designed by the talented Crissy Armstrong out today and they are perfect for getting oneself in the mood for some warmer weather, spring flowers, and Easter. But that's not even all! They also have added on a new artist. The Wee Ones, five of them, illustrated by Cris de Lara make the total release count to total of 13 stamp. Yay!

I guess I should get back to my card...so here it is, featuring one of those cute new stamps. Us on the SS design team were so lucky to get to work with Wags ´n Whiskers new images. Aren´t those bunnies just the cutest ever! All the image really needed was a background dp from Basic Grey and some flowers as embellisments. I coloured the image with Promarkers and also coloured the largest flower with PM´s. The sentiment is from WoJ.

Ok I´ll let you go now... I know you are itching to go see all the other images and what the other Stamp Something DT ladies and of course the talented WnW design team members have come up with.

Stamp with Fun #45 DT card

Hello my stamping friends! It´s time to kick off another week filled with creativity. It´s time again for a Stamp with Fun challenge...and as valentine´s day is fast approaching we´d like to see some hearts on your creations.

I´ve been shopping last week and found some gorgeous embellishments to decorate my card. I bought some brads, self adhesive half pearls and white paper flowers. I used my Promarkers to colour the flowers which I think worked like wonder. My image is "A Tasty Read", a new Elisabeth Bell digistamp. Isn´t the girl just adorable, if you fell in love with her as I did you can purchase her here. The papers are from Basic Grey and of course I had to throw in some lace and a heart charm.

Sweet wishes and lovely crafting times for everyone!

Stamp Something DT card...Love somethings

What a lovely friday it is! It´s time to set another Stamp Something challenge...and this week we are in the mood for some love. So let´s pull out our rose pink glasses and start looking at the world a bit differently again.

I used my adorable Diane Duda penguin stamp as my base and chose some gorgeous Basic Grey papers to go with it. My little girl decided she wanted to help me colour the image, so if the colouring looks a bit odd that´s the reason LOL. Actually she just kept throwing my Promarkers around as I was trying to get some colouring done... most of the pens landed on my image and finally I gave in and used whatever colour she threw at me. It´s a good thing I had only a small amount of my Promarkers on the desk, the image would have looked a tad funny in all the colours of the rainbow. As embellishment I used some linen string and lace and a paper flower and self adhesive rhinestones.

Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe´s Crafts, don´t forget to go check out all the new goodies at the store... and start crafting your love creations for a chance to win the prize Nikki has kindly donated.

I´m also entering this card for the challenges at Passion for Promarkers (#37:all creatures great and small) and Papertake Weekly ("love actually").
Once again happy friday to all!

Stamp with Fun #44 DT card

Happy monday! Yet another week is starting and we have a new Stamp with Fun challenge for you guys. This weeks challenge is to follow a lovely sketch... and here is my card done following the sketch. I had some K&Company papers left laying on my desk from a previous card and I decided to use them in this card with my new Leanne Ellis stamp. I did some paper piecing and coloured the rest of the image with Promarkers. Then added some flowers, self adhesive rhinestones and lace and that´s it, a simple quick vintage card.

So let´s get crafting people!
