Stamp with Fun #113 DT card

Hello and good morning! Here I am today...and guess what, this post is up the right day LOL...with my card for Stamp with Fun. This week we have a lovely theme for you. The theme is In the Garden. So I guess there will be a lot of flowery images and embellishments this week.

I did my card with WoJ's cute I am Sorry Gnome by Norma Fickel. I have coloured my image with Promarkers as always and have finally dug into my Webster's Pages paper pad. I just love that background dp. The tag die, border die and sentiment are all also from the WoJ store together with the image. That old piece of lace is from my stash and it really is a vintage element as it is really old...believe me when I say so.

Stamp with Fun #109 DT card

Hello and good evening! It's time to set another Stamp with Fun challenge...this week we'd like to see some ribbon or lace on your projects.

I made my card using my all time favourite WoJ stamp, Norma Fickels Mother and Child. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and paired the image with some MME and Papermania papers. The ribbon is from my stash.

Stamp with Fun #105 DT card

Hello everyone! It's time to Stamp with Fun and this week the theme is Easter.

I made my card using WoJ's cute Mother and child by Norma Fickel and my card is simple and more versatile than just an easter card as I didn't put on a sentiment that says easter. The gorgeous border is done with a new WoJ border die... you should go check out all the gorgeous new stuff there is available again from the WoJ store. This months stamps are released as digis so you don't even have to wait to get started with your new stamps YAY!

I haven't been able to do much crafting lately due to our move and with all the packing and unpacking...I was actually at work during our real move in day and wasn't able to check what my husband and his friend were up to...this resulted in the fact that I still don't know where most of my stuff is. I had actually moved most of my carfting goodies prior to the move in day and even unpacked them, but our little movers were clever...NOT...enough to put all the other boxes in front of my desk so that I can't get to my crafting table now without clearing all that other stuff out first...and it's such a tidious work I've been puttting it off as long as I can. But I guess there will be light at the end of the tunnel soon and there will be more stuff for you guys to see here at my blog.

Stamp with Fun #101 DT card

Good morning everyone! It's time to kick start this week with a new Stamp with Fun challenge...and this weeks theme is monochrome blue.

I made my card with WoJ's cute Birthday gnome. I have done the colouring with Promarkers as I always do and chose some papers from my WoJ and MME paper pads.The gorgeous borders are done with a WoJ border die and so is the snowflake I have attached to the card with a piece of button twine also available at the WoJ store.

I actually combined this card with the current challenge at the WoJ challenge blog which is blooms and buttons...you should go check that out too.

Whiff of Joy DT

Good evening people! Today's the day we've all been waiting for...these+3 cute gnomes by Norma Fickel are now ready for ordering. And that's not all...the stamps from the secret spring stamp kit are now on sale as single stamps. I'm so jealous to all of you that have gotten your secret kits as mine got lost in the mail.

Well anyway I think these stunning gnomes make up a bit of the dissappointment. I've been kind of tired of making cards these past few weeks but not really tired of staming and colouring...so here's what resulted from that tiredness...simple small cards all about the image. I think I'll be making these as long as I get my cardmaking mojo back and when I do I'll have the image parts ready LOL.

We've been busy building our own dream house and soon it's going to be ready. I'll have my own crafting room upstairs and I'm so excited about that. These image cards also would look gorgeous framed and made into small paintings. I guess I'll make a few atleast for my daughters room.

Whiff of Joy DT...I am sorry

I think I have found my new favourite stamp...! This cute little fellow from WoJ's upcoming March release (only a few days until you can order yours) is just so adorable. I loved colouring this image and wanted to make a simple card with it, just chose a gorgeous dp from MME's Penny Lane glitter stack and added a sentiment and some lovely button twine...also available at the WoJ store.

Whiff of Joy DT...Happy Birthday gnome

Hello, hello! Sorry for being so quiet here on my blog but I've been too busy in real life with work and other stuff. Today I'm home...had the day off and my daughter has a high fever so w had to saty in all day...which ment I had some time to do some crafting. This cute little fellow is a part of Whiff of Joy's new March release. Norma Fickel has drawn several gorgeous images for all of us to marvel and get creative with.

I guess if you wish to see most of the stamps already you should check out Katharina's blog as she has been busy crafting and showing previews of the new release.

There's also a great challenge at the WoJ challenge blog...the theme there is paper piecing. I wanted to try some paper piecing myself when I saw all the stunning cards there. I have cut the hat and trousers from that striped background dp and coloured he rest of the image with Promarkers. The papers are from MME. The WoJ shop has also some gorgeous button twine for sale and I have used a piece of it on this card, left it hanging quite loosely and added a charm to the end.

I have made my card with a cute gnome drawn by Norma Fickel, this is Wee with reindeer and you saw her at Pop's blog earlier. The image is so gorgeous and lovely I think it needs to be shown twice on this hop LOL (well actually it was a big coincidence really)

I have coloured the image with a combination of promarkers and watercolours. The papers are from Papermania. I got some pretty gorgeous red berries embellisments from Magali, she has had to step down from the WoJ DT but sent me the embellishments to be used in my card for this hop.

Stamp with Fun #85 DT card

Hi...it's me again LOL! It's now time to tell you about our new Stamp with Fun challenge. The theme this week is Square...so square cards and somewhat square elements it is.

I used in my card propably my all time favourite WoJ stamp, this cutie is called Mother and child. Yesterday was fathers day here in Finland so this kind of fits that mood also, too bad that there isn't a stamp called Father and child. I think that would also be a great hit, at least in my heart. As you can see I have again stamped my image onto kraft cardstock, the colouring is done with Promarkers. I went for something really simple (layoutwise I mean) with this card and as embellishments I chose some cute girlie flowers again.

Ok, now I'm off to see what my darling daughter is upto, I hope nothing bad LOL.

Whiff of Joy DT...door hanger

Hello everyone! It´s been a bit quiet here on my blog but I have been colouring some new WoJ images that are going to be released on September 1st!!!! We wont keep you in suspence much longer, just a few days and we DT members will start to tease you guys with sneak peaks LOL.

In the mean time here´s a project featuring one of the cute gnomes drawn by Norma Fickel. This one is called Uru and bird. I was really careful not to ink any of the birdsnest and the mistletoe hanging from the gnomes hat as I wanted to leave out every reminder of Christmas. I love Christmas but in this case wanted to make something more versatile and also to show you that you can easily alter images to fit your mood. There´s no need to hide Christmas images during summertime... all though I have to admit that an image of santa might be a bit hard to alter into something else than a santa but you get my point don´t you?

So here´s my project for the WoJ challenge where the challenge was to make a door hanger. I have coloured my image with Promarkers and used some Papermania and DCWV papers...and of course some cardstock to make my hanger. Lots of flowers embellish my creation and the sentiment is from the June stamp kit.

So that was it for now, have to dash of to some other commitments LOL.

Stamp with Fun #72 DT card

It´s me again! At Stamp with Fun we have a great sketch this week, go check it out.

I simplified the sketch a bit though and left out the embellishments. I think my card was gorgeous enough without anything extra. A lot of it has to do with my image choice as I think this cute Mother and child from Whiff of Joy is propably my favourite stamp at the moment. I do love the cute little gnomes Norma Fickel draws and anxiously wait the next set of stamps she hopefully soon designs for WoJ.

I think I also love the colours I have used and the way my colouring turned out. I coloured with greys first doing all the shading and only then added other colours...and no I did not use any distres ink on the paper edges! And as for the papers themselves they are from DCWV and Papermania and the heart borders are done with a MS punch.

Believe in the magic...

Hahaa! This little witch is offering us some love potion (see, there are hearts in the bottle). Just had to pair this cutie drawn by Norma Fickel with a sentiment from the April Stamp Kit - Scheherazade (1001 Nights). The little witch is a part of Whiff of Joy´s new Get Well collection that was released yesterday.

I tried colouring with distress inks for a change but soon realized it wasn´t the colouring medium for me and did some retouching with Promarkers. I almost threw my image away, but then I found the perfect Basic Grey papers to balance it out. In the end my card turned out just fine, I kind of like it a lot now.

Whiff of Joy Get Well collection

Whiff of Joy´s Get Well collection is now ready for sale. Go check all the new stamps at the store.

Here´s one of the designs by Norma Fickel, this one is called "I feel better in the morning". I have coloured the image with Promarkers and used papers from Papermania pad. I went with a really simple layout, but I think it works well with this image.

Another WoJ sneak peak

Here´s another sneak peak from the WoJ Get Well collection, this one is also designed by Norma Fickel. I tried a different kind of colouring technique than what I usually use...colouring only as little as possible and didn´t use my blender pen at all. I like the end result really much.

Whiff of Joy Get well stamp sneak peak

Hey...! Tomorrow is the launch day of some cute Get well stamps at Whiff of Joy, don´t miss it. All three of the illustrators contributed to the collection.

Here´s one drawn by talented Norma Fickel, I just love this clown. I have to admit I wasn´t really pleased with my image after I had coloured it, but that was just because of the colours I had chosen...but everything kind of fell together perfectly when I found that striped and glittery background paper. The paper is from MME and the 12x12 Penny Lane glitter stack really is huge, don´t know why I haven´t dared to cut into it before. I have a habit of buying gorgeous new papers and saving them for...don´t really know what. It´s a bit silly really, if I used all my papers that would just be a good excuse to buy more...right eh´.

Ok, so the release day of the collection is May 1st, that´s tomorrow! So not much longer ´till you can order yours.

Stamp with Fun #46 DT card

Happy monday! It´s time for a new Stamp with Fun challenge and this week we have a fab sketch to follow.

And now to my card:

I found this cute Norma Fickel gnome laying on my desk, it had been there waiting to be coloured since Christmas, but I think it suites every other occasion just aswell. I coloured the image with Promarkers and went for a pink colour scheme. The papers are from Basic Grey´s Two Scoops paper pad. I used lots of embellishments: brads, paper flowers, self adhesive pearls, heart charm, lace... I think I came up with a pretty cute card for that someone special.
