Stamp with Fun #74 DT card

Hi again! Now I want to tell you about our new challenge at Stamp with Fun. Saphira has prepared a great sketch for us to follow.

I know I have already showed you this little darling from Whiff of Joy´s upcoming Sept. 1st release but this image was waiting ready coloured on my desk and just pleading to be used in a card. So here is Betty again with her candycane. And I even used my beloved brown ink this time and I think brown suits Betty and my Promarker colouring better. The papers are from DCWV and that lovely senmtiment is also from WoJ.

Karen´s Doodles Challenge #26 DT project...bookmark

Hello all, what a great week we have ahead of us! I´ll start this week with my simple bookmark for Karen´s Doodles Challenge. And that´s exactly what our theme is... Bookmarks.

I made this one for my husband and what better image could I have used than Mr. Fix-it Car. I have coloured my image with Promarkers and paired some white and kraft cardstock with a dp from October Afternoon.

WoJ Christmas stamp release sneak peek no.3...little happy witch

Hello, hello! Today I want to show you something a bit different...not that I´m bored already with Christmas images, no way! I just thought it would be nice to show this cute little witchie from WoJ´s Sept. 1st release. So here she is, little Willow turned into a cute witch.

I really love this little witch. We don´t really even celebrate Halloween here in Finland but I think I´m going to make several cards with is image nontheless.

I know I complained about my black ink yesterday but for this image and my colouring it has worked quite well. I coloured the image with promarkers as always and did some layering (sort of my trademark at the moment) with kraft and white cardstock. The dp´s are from October Afternoon and Basic Grey.

Today is my birthday...nothing fancy or interesting planned, am just going to watch some TV with my husband and eat some goodies, just need to get our daughter to bed and then we can relax. My husband was being a real darling and had made me some dessert, some sort of pie with mixed berries. There was just one problem, he had forgotten to add eggs to the topping so the pie wouldn´t set...well it tasted great so who cares if it was a bit messy to eat LOL.

Ok, now I´m going to go see what kind of a mess my two darlings have managed to make...I´ve been hiding on the computer for too long. See you later!

WoJ Christmas stamp release sneak peek no.2

Good evening all! I´m back with my second WoJ sneak peak. This time I´d like you to meet Betty and her huge candycane.

I have stamped Betty with black ink. Some of you might wonder what´s so unusual about using black ink, but I actually usually use brown ink as I like the softer feel it gives. I hope some of you might like my card as I´m not really 100% happy with it. It´s that damn black ink that´s bothering me...LOL. Maybe I should really stick to brown as that seems to work well for me.

The papers in my card are from October Afternoon and I´ve used layers of kraft and brown cardstock to frame the papers. The sentiment comes with the image so you really get a deal if you buy this image when it is released on the 1st of September.

WoJ´s Christmas stamp release sneak peek no.1 and some candy!

Hello everyone! Today´s the day of my first sneak peak of WoJ´s new Christmas release. There is going to be a set of super cute 6 winter/ christmas stamps, 1 Halloween stamp and a fantastic new stamp kit coming up on September 1st. Yay! They are all just gorgeous.

Meet Sammy! Isn´t he the cutest? He is the the newest member of the Whiff of Joy family, drawn by talented Alison Acton and named after her own baby boy. So here is Sammy´s first Christmas.

I have stamped my image onto kraft Bazzil Basics cardstock with black ink and I did the colouring with Promarkers. I wanted this sneak peak to be all about the cute image so the layout of my card is really simple. The background dp is from October Afternoon and I have used brown and kraft cardstock for the layers underneath.

I´m actually in a festive mood and as Katharina was kind enough to send me an extra stamp of Sammy I´ll be giving away some candy. I´ll also throw in some dp´s from my own stash, so you better enter to be in to win some... It would also be nice if you would spread the word...I just might throw in some more stuff the more entrys there are LOL.

Stamp with Fun #73 DT card

Hello again! Now I´m here with this weeks Stamp with Fun challenge. At Stamp with Fun we´d like to see something made for a girl so that should be easy don´t you think.

So here´s a bit of info about my girlie girl card. The image is from Whiff of Joy´s spring kit from 2009 and I have coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from Papermania and DCWV and I have added lots of flowers and a piece of lace and some pearls as embellishmnet. And I think that was it, now I´m off to play with my daughter and maybe colour a few images later on LOL.

Karen´s Doodles Challenge #25 DT card...polka dots

Hello all! It´s monday and time for another Karen´s Doodles Challenge and this weeks theme is polka dots.

I just got some new October Afternoon papers in the post which fitted this theme really well. The Cuttlebug embossing folder is also new. As for my image I just had to use this cute winter scene called First Snowfall, Karen really has captured the joy of winter perfectly.

Whiff of Joy DT...door hanger

Hello everyone! It´s been a bit quiet here on my blog but I have been colouring some new WoJ images that are going to be released on September 1st!!!! We wont keep you in suspence much longer, just a few days and we DT members will start to tease you guys with sneak peaks LOL.

In the mean time here´s a project featuring one of the cute gnomes drawn by Norma Fickel. This one is called Uru and bird. I was really careful not to ink any of the birdsnest and the mistletoe hanging from the gnomes hat as I wanted to leave out every reminder of Christmas. I love Christmas but in this case wanted to make something more versatile and also to show you that you can easily alter images to fit your mood. There´s no need to hide Christmas images during summertime... all though I have to admit that an image of santa might be a bit hard to alter into something else than a santa but you get my point don´t you?

So here´s my project for the WoJ challenge where the challenge was to make a door hanger. I have coloured my image with Promarkers and used some Papermania and DCWV papers...and of course some cardstock to make my hanger. Lots of flowers embellish my creation and the sentiment is from the June stamp kit.

So that was it for now, have to dash of to some other commitments LOL.

Stamp with Fun #72 DT card

It´s me again! At Stamp with Fun we have a great sketch this week, go check it out.

I simplified the sketch a bit though and left out the embellishments. I think my card was gorgeous enough without anything extra. A lot of it has to do with my image choice as I think this cute Mother and child from Whiff of Joy is propably my favourite stamp at the moment. I do love the cute little gnomes Norma Fickel draws and anxiously wait the next set of stamps she hopefully soon designs for WoJ.

I think I also love the colours I have used and the way my colouring turned out. I coloured with greys first doing all the shading and only then added other colours...and no I did not use any distres ink on the paper edges! And as for the papers themselves they are from DCWV and Papermania and the heart borders are done with a MS punch.

Karen´s Doodles Challenge #24 DT card...animals

Hello! It´s time to start another week with a new Karen´s Doodles Challenge...and for this week Joey has chosen animals as the theme.

I have Basket of Bunnies as my image which is actually an easter image, but I thought it would fit perfectly into a baby card that I wanted to make. So here it is Basket of Bunnies coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from Papermania and K&Company and i have added some flowers as embellishment and a tag for the welcoming text.

Stamp with Fun #71 DT card and some great news

This is my second post for today and in the first one I told that we had the worst weather last night and no power at all. With this post I´ll be starting this week with some of best news ever... Katharina from Whiff of Joy has asked me to be a part of her design team and of course I said yes. I´m so excited!

I just had to tell that to you first, but I guess it´s time now to get to this weeks Stamp with Fun challenge which was a colour challenge also, we had to make a card using lilac and blue.

It was really fitting that I had used a Whiff of Joy image in my card, it made it perfect to announce my new DT post with this card even though the card really is something I made for Stamp with Fun challenge.

So my card is a really simple 10x10cm minicard featuring the cute dove from Whiff of Joy´s wedding and baby collection. You´ll be seeing more of these minicards as I have kind of fallen in love with making them. The dp´s are from Basic Grey and the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Karen´s Doodles Challenge #23 DT card

Hello and happy monday! I had a day of multiple posts planned but the weather came in the way...last night I was scheduling my posts for today when all of a sudden a terrible thunderstorm broke loose. All it took was one lightning strike and we were without electricity, I couldn´t really do much but go to bed as it was clear that it would take a while before we had power again. So there went my scheduled posts and plans right down the drain...but no I´m not complaining, as now we do have power again and I know many households still are without electricity.

Ok let´s get on to business. This week at Karen´s Doodles Challenge Zoe gave as a task to use some spesific colours she calls Summer Zest and those colours are Yellow, Orange, Lime Green and a Splash of Blue.

Those aren´t really the colours I would automaticly pic if I had the change as I tend to use more muted tones, so I guess this really is a perfect CHALLENGE for me. I chose Tango as my image and did the coluring with Promarkers. The papers are from Basic Grey. The layout in this card is really simple as in all my KD cards lately.

Stamp with Fun #70 DT card

Here I am again with my second DT card for today... this time for Stamp with Fun where we had a great sketch to follow.

My image is from WoJ and I have again masked together two stamps and coloured then my image with Promarkers. The background dp is from Basic grey and the light blue panel is just a piece of cardstock I ran through my cuttlebug machine. I added lots of embellishments, three pieces of lace, lots of flowers, an apple charm (from WoJ) and some brads ans pearls. I´m not really at all that much happy with my hanging charms and the pearls... I might have to take them off later :(

Karen´s Doodles Challenge #22 DT card... a new combined challenge

Hello, hello! It´s time to kick start our new and combined Karen´s Doodles Challenge. Our first challenge is an easy one, Anything Goes. If you have forgotten, the challenge rules are listed on the right sidebar of the challenge blog; the most important rule being you MUST use a Karen's Doodles image. You can also visit Karen's new webstore and pick up a freebie image to use.

And now let´s get on to my card. I have used Cruisin´ as my image and coloured it with Promarkers. I went with a simple layout as I liked the effect the colouring and papers gave together. the papers are from Papermania and MME.

I guess that was it for now, can´t wait to see what you all come up with. The prizes are fabulous as always, but there is a small difference, the DT will be woting on the best creation. So give it your best and have fun crafting!
