Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #21 DT card

Hi there! It´s time set our last Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge and this is also a joint challenge hosted by our American stamping sisters across the pond at Karen's Doodles United States. The name of the challange is WHITE ON WHITE. Pretty simple, only colours on the image are allowed and the bagkground should be white.

I chose We Love You Dad as my image and coloured it with Promarkers and distressed the edges with Tea dye distress ink. I ran some white cardstock through my Cuttlebug machine to make the background and just added a piece of lace, flowers and three pearls to make my card. I was actually a bit bad and used a hint of distres ink on the paper edges so my card isn´t really all white.

Hello and happy wednesday! It´stime to set another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge... and this week we´d like you to follow Nancy´s great sketch. So go check out the sketch at the challenge blog and join us in the fun.

I decided to follow last weeks challenges theme with a card for an older gent... and isn´t every man still a kid at heart? This hansom guy is called Mr. Fix It Grandpa and I have coloured him up with my Promarkers. The papers are from papermania and K&Company. Some brads and a swirl (done with my new Sizzix die by Tim Holtz) finish off my my card.

I used this lovely Summertime Boy playing siccer as my image and coloured it with Promarkers. The background dp is from Basic Grey and the sentiment is from WoJ.

Happy wednesday! Let´s have fun with Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge and this weeks theme of LOVE!

For my card I have used lovely I Love You Grandpa and coloured it with Promarkers. I didn´t use any dp´s and embossed some white cardstock with my Cuttlebug. I have applied some ink to the embossing folder and then embossed my cardstock. I have only three pearls as embellishments... I had some flowers and string on but decided to take them out as the card looked better without them. I thought that it was a bit pointless to add something that wasn´t really needed LOL.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #17 DT card

Hey! It´s wednesday and time for another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we are setting a colour challenge for you...it´s time to see some GREEN, YELLOW and BLUE creations.

I made a card for a boy again, just thought this boy with his frog was so much fun. I did the colouring with Promarkers and layered up some green, yellow and dark brown cardstock with my MME Bloom&Grow dp´s. Wrapped some linen string around the card and that was all, I might add a sentiment later when I know who this card is really for.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #16

Happy wednesday! It´s time for another Karen´s Doodles Scnadinavian Challenge. This weeks theme is stitches so get your sewing machines or pens (if you decide to fake it) ready.

I have Movie girl (one of Karen´s older images) as my image and did the colouring with Promarkers. The layout is really simple and the twist is in the sentiment part that slides out. The background paper is from Basic Grey and I opted to go with some fake stitches again as my sewing machine still doesn´t like me sewing paper.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #15...summertime!

Hello everyone! It´s wednesday already and we have a new Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge for you. This week we are setting an easy theme for you...and the theme is summertime. This is also a joint challenge again so all the KD challenges have the same theme.

I tought I´d go for something action filled and started thinking of activities one might do on their summer holiday. Fishing popped right into my might and I think this KD image is just the cutest, the girl looks so proud and happy of her big catch LOL. I did the colouring with Promarkers and did that spotted background thing again I have seen somewhere on blogland (should really find a tutorial for it as I might be doing it all wrong). The papers are from MME and Papermania. I went for a simple layout again with lots of layers and I think it works quite well.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #14

Here we are again with a new Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge, this time we have a lovely sketch for you to follow.

I wanted to make a male card for a change and opted to use Fisher Dad as my image. I did the colouring witrh Promarkers as usual and chose my dp´s from my MME Bloom&Grow paper pad. The tag is completely removable and the card does actually work quite well without it also.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #13

Hello and happy wednesday! It´s time for another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge, this week we have a n easy theme for you, it´s Birthday so we´ll be expecting lots of entry´s LOL.

I went for a simple layout with a gorgeous image called First Kiss. I coloured my image with promarkers and used a dp from BG as background. I did the sentiment with computer as I didn´t have any stamps that fitted my card perfectly. Then just added a few pearls to the corners of the image and my card was done. Really simple!

Karen´s Doodle Scandinavian Challenge #12 DT card...recipe

Happy wednesday! It´s time to set another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we have a recipe to follow: 3 flowers, 2 pattern papers, 1 lace or ribbon.

If you take just a quick look you might wonder where my second paper is, trust me it is there...I just managed to cover most of it with the tag, flowers and ribbon. For my image I chose Little Helping Hands, isn´t she the cutest. I did the colouring with Promarkers as usual and used some distress ink on all the paper edges. My dp´s are from DCWV´s Linen Closet paper pad.

So I guess that was it. Now it´s your turn to start carfting something with our recipe and a Karen´s Doodles image. Have fun!

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #11...Butterflies

Summer is here! The weather sure has been brilliant these past few days, atleast here in Finland that is. We are now on wednesday and it´s time to set another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we have butterflies as our theme, what better theme for these summery days.

I chose Butterfly Girl for my card and coloured the image with Promarkers. The paper are from Papermania and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. I have coloured the satin ribbon with Promarkers also. I guess that was it, I´ll go and enjoy the sunny weather.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #10 DT card

Howdy! It´s wednesday and time for another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we have a colour challeneg for you...but wait there´s a twist...the colours depend on what country you live in! So colours we want to see come from your country´s flag. As I live in Finland it ment I had blue and white to work with (I just had to throw some brown into the mix as I usually do).

I thought this was e perfect opportunity to make a card for a boy so I chose to use Rootin´Tootin´Cowboy as my image and coloured it with Promarkers as always. My image was fairly big so I just wet with a simple layout and just layered my white, blue and brown cardstock and a lovely blue dp from Basic Grey. The corners of the dp I stamped again with my Stempelglede corner stamp (I guess I´ll be using that on just about each and every project I make ´till I get tired of it or it´s completely smooth LOL). Then I just added some brads, linen string and a sentiment to finish my card.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #9

It´s time to set a new Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge and this time we don´t want to see any cards...the theme is Anything but a card. This challenge is also a joint challenge so all the challenge blogs have the same theme.

So let´s get on to my project. I decided to finally decorate one of my cardboard boxes, so my project was a fairly simple one. I thought about covering all sides of the box with patterned papers but soon realized that the lid wouldn´t fit if I used papers to decorate the box itself. So I did some inking and stamping instead and quite like the end result. On the lid I then layered papers, cardstock and my image, which was one of Karen´s older images, Ride´em Cowgirl. I coloured it with Promarkers and stamped the corners of the dp with a corner stamp from Prima. Then just added a few pearls to the sidepanels and that was it.

Now it´s your turn to make something else than a card, just use a Karen´s Doodles image and your set to go. Have fun crafting!

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #8...ribbon

Hello everyone! It´s wednesday and time for another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge, we´re at number 8 already. This week we´d like to see some ribbon on your creations.

I used cute Maggie and me then as my image and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from Papermania. I also coloured my ribbon with Promarkers. This is a simple cute card for some cute little girl.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #7...Confirmation card

Here we are again with a new Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. This week we´d like to see some confirmation cards.

Karen has specially designed a set of 5 images (3 girls and 2 boys) for your confirmation cards. I used the short haired girl for my card and coloured the image with Promarkers. I kept the layout of the card simple and added just some half pearls, one flower and a fitting sentiment to finish off my creation.

Hello stamping friends! It´s wednesday and time for another Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge, we are at our sixth challenge already, can´t really believe how fast the time has flown by.

This week we have a great sketch to follow. I chose to use Tulip Bunny as my image and coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are from MME´s Bloom&Grow paper pad. A really simple creatiom I might say.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #5 DT card

Hey, it´s wednesday allready! Can´t believe it´s our 5th challenge at Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge blog. Time flies really fast as you are having so much fun. But let´s get to this weeks challenge... this week we´d like to see some colour. Red, yellow and white to be exact.

I wanted to make something different for a change (all the cards I´ve made with KD images have been cute little things) and went searching for an image...and this is what I found, it´s called Crafting Widower and it´s just so funny with the name and all. I found some funky bright Basic Grey papers to go with my image that I had coloured with PM´s. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and layoutwise the card is really simple.

Now it´s your turn to make something with red, yellow and white, doesn´t need to be as bright as my card, you could use pasteals just as well. You know the drill, just use a Karen´s Doodles image in you creation and your good to go.

Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge #4 DT card...photo inspiration

Hello and welcome to the fourth Karen´s Doodles Scandinavian Challenge. Yes... a week has again flown by really fast, we all loved visiting your blogs to see what gorgeous creations you had come up with Karen´s lovely images.

This week we are going about the challenge a bit differently. We have an inspiration picture for you...and this weeks challenge is a joint one, meaning that all 4 countries will be using the same photo inspiration, suggested by Marley from the Netherlands Design Team. So please stop by each of the challenge blogs to check out what their team members have created (links are on my right sidebar).

And here comes the inspiration picture...

As you may have noticed I took the stripes and the colours and also the fluffines of the bed and... So you can use the picture in any way you wish, whether you are inspired by the colours or just the shapes, or the theme for that matter. I wanted to make an Easter card still so I used sweet Tulip Bunny in my card. I used Promarkers to colour the image and added lots of embellishments. The papers are from my stash, got them from my mom and don´t really know the make of them.
